Who Done It? is an interactive, in-person murder mystery team-building experience that challenges participants to think critically, communicate clearly, and collaborate under pressure. Designed to pull teams out of the everyday work mindset, this live-action whodunit places participants at the center of a compelling storyline filled with suspects, clues, and twists. Working in small teams, players gather evidence, solve puzzles, and interrogate characters as they race against the clock to uncover the truth. The experience culminates in a dramatic reveal that delivers suspense, laughter, and powerful teamwork takeaways.

Event Flow

  1. Welcome, Story Setup & Icebreaker
  • Participants are welcomed by a facilitator and introduced to the murder mystery theme
    • A brief icebreaker warms up investigative thinking and team communication
    • Teams are formed and briefed on objectives, rules, and time constraints
  1. Case Brief & Team Assignments
  • The storyline, setting, and victim are revealed
    • Teams receive their detective roles and case materials
    • Facilitators explain how clues, suspects, and puzzles will be discovered throughout the space
  1. Investigation Phase: Clues, Suspects & Puzzles
  • Teams move through the event area to:
  • Examine physical clues and evidence
  • Interact with live characters or facilitators playing suspects
  • Solve logic puzzles, riddles, and codes
    • Information must be shared and organized quickly as new leads emerge
  1. Analysis & Theory Building
  • Teams pause to compare notes and connect evidence
    • Suspect motives, timelines, and alibis are debated
    • Teams refine their theory of the crime and identify the culprit
  1. Final Accusation & Reveal
  • Each team submits their final accusation and supporting evidence
    • The facilitator reveals the full story, motive, and murderer
    • Points are awarded for accuracy, reasoning, and teamwork
  1. Debrief, Awards & Wrap-Up
  • Facilitator leads a discussion on:
  • Communication and information-sharing
  • Decision-making under uncertainty
  • Collaboration and critical thinking
    • Winning teams are recognized
    • Participants leave energized, connected, and proud—having solved the mystery together
